BackStage: Genesis of Pain Relieving Elbow Pack

This is what it looked like! The first version... A basic proto-frame holding ClimaCon tech to be tied around the elbow ...A heating/cooling jab at stabbing elbow pain.

This contraption makes life easy and takes "fuss" away from pain. GOODBYE to the days of setting water to boil or freeze... ClimaWare-Elbow pack is "at least one headache less" when you are already agonizing over that SORE ELBOW...Just Snap on and push buttons for lasting relief.
However, this early design was not enough. It looked too boxy!

The next dig for our team was to make the gizmo aesthetic and snazzy without disturbing the tech set-up inside. Thus, the design elements, style lines and the frame were tweaked and played around with.

As evident, the team was fast to reckon that minuscule adjustments just won't do.The gadget needed a complete overhaul...brand new thought...and a break-free from the old design!
The team pored over the elbow pack design, over endless cups of "chai".

The character of the product was defined... It was going to be the next uber-chic performance-oriented accessory to be worn on and off the sport. The product form identity was derived from the personality of the tennis sport. Uttam took charge of product design and developed concepts for an integrated design. Since then, he has taken full onus of elbow pack development.

The thought experiments yielded a fresh product design...a major leap in ergonomics and emotional appeal. The new elbow pack has wireless circuitry and touch-screen control. The battery is integrated into a detachable strap to provide additional compression. The new design is sleek and has 2X heating/cooling power over the previous design. What's more, it is so flexible that it can be wrapped around any portion of the limbs.

TEMPERATURE RANGE INSIDE HEATING/COOLING NODE

ClimaWare-Elbow pack is COMING SOON at a clinic near you...Grab one to welcome restful sleep...and bid farewell to nagging aches. Just put one on and forget about it. "At least one headache less" is truly priceless!

18,300 feet above sea level-Dhama’s warm salute to the BRO Jawans

KHARDUNGLA PASS, 30th September 2010 – Dhama Team reached K-Top, the highest motorable pass in the world, to conduct trials with the BRO Jawans working for project Himank. Appropriately called the “Mountain Tamers” of Ladakh, these BRTF soldiers bravely endure the tough challenges posed by sense -numbing sub-zero temperatures, inadequate oxygen and hostile air pressure. In a terrain where survival itself is a test, the resilient BRO Jawans untiringly sculpt mountains to build and repair roads and create passageways by shoveling snow and ice-an astounding 11 feet in depth.
Dhama Team met the BRO Jawans and initiated trials of unique climate-control technology embedded ClimaWare-Heating Jackets, Neck Wraps, Gloves and Insoles. These thermal equipments are particularly vital for dozer operators who remove snow and ice to make the road accessible for an additional 150 km stretch to reach further up to the soldiers posted at the Siachen Glacier. The immediate response and feedback from BRO has been extremely encouraging. However, Dhama’s ClimaWare-Heating Equipment has been left with these operators for testing in their most extreme real operating environment when winter sets in and there is a steep fall in the temperatures down to -30oC to -40oC.
Dhama awaits feedback for making design modifications based on the demands of their specific situation and intends to pay another visit at the end of a month-long testing period. The BRO has given a series of their own winter gear to Dhama for embedding the heating technology into their existing equipment. The trial conducted at K-Top is in sequence with the testing earlier done for project Shivalik at Badri Nath.
To conclude, Ladakh has been an eye-opening and humbling experience for the Dhama Team. Words fail us as we again pay homage to the courageous BRO Jawans as they relentlessly fulfill their pledge of “Shramen Sarvam Sadhyam” with their duty, devotion and service to the nation.

Giving Warmth to the "BORN TOUGH"

'Born tough' refers to the brave GREF personnel from the wing of Indian Military who are serving the discreet corners of the inhospitable terrains of Indian Border. These personnel are putting up all their united strength to build roads and bridges along the border amidst minimum resources and climate reaching upto -15 degree Celsius.

Dhama Innovations with its dedicated approach to serve these personnel has recently started with its trial run of Clima Ware Products at Project Shivalik along the Indo China Border. Officer Commanding Major Jasvinder along with his dedicated team of young personnel truly deserve respect from each Indian individual for their astonishing efforts to keep the Indian Borders safe. The personnel are living in a condition where there is no mobile connectivity, only 3 hours of electricity, 24x7 chilly winds and the pressures of completing the task within stipulated time frame.

The heating and cooling apparel from Dhama were heartily welcomed by the personnel during the initial run and at Dhama, we are constantly waiting for their feedbacks to come so that we can make the product more and more usable to them amidst their critical conditions. The majors have even suggested a list of new products like a sleeping bag, pants that we can offer them for keeping them warm once the severe cold starts setting in from this October.

Dhama salutes the Indian Military and is striving to serve them with its patent protected ClimaCon Technology.
